TRISTAN DANIELS
CANDIDATE FOR
WARD 6 COUNCILLOR
BRADFORD WEST GWILLIMBURY
Our Community. Our Future.
Bradford West Gwillimbury is a community I’m proud to call home.
As our town continues to grow, we have an opportunity to shape that growth thoughtfully and make sure our community remains a great place to live, work and raise a family.
I believe Ward 6 deserves a councillor who listens, is approachable and accountable, and who is willing to have the difficult conversations. My focus is on community safety, responsible growth and infrastructure, services and opportunities needed to support our growing community.
SAFER COMMUNITIES

Safer roads, reliable services and community programs that help keep our neighbourhoods connected.
Residents have shared concerns about speeding, traffic, pedestrian crossings, sidewalks and snow removal. I want to work with residents and Town staff to identify problem areas and find practical solutions, particularly around schools, parks and other busy areas.
Safety also means having reliable municipal services and community spaces that people can count on. As Bradford West Gwillimbury continues to grow, our services and infrastructure need to keep pace, while making sure existing neighbourhoods aren't overlooked.
And strong communities are connected communities. Supporting opportunities for children and youth, accessible recreation, parks and community spaces helps create neighbourhoods where people feel a sense of belonging.
My focus is on listening to residents, working collaboratively with Town staff and finding practical, responsible solutions that make our community safer and stronger.
GROWTH & AFFORDABILITY

Responsible growth matched with the infrastructure and services our community needs, while keeping affordability in mind.
Bradford West Gwillimbury is growing quickly and that growth brings both opportunities and challenges. Roads, traffic management, water and other municipal infrastructure, parks and community services need to grow alongside our population.
At the same time I know affordability is a concern for many residents. Responsible growth means looking carefully at the costs of new infrastructure and services, how they are funded and the long-term impact on taxpayers. I want to see growth planned thoughtfully, with the infrastructure needed to support it, while making responsible decisions with taxpayers’ money and ensuring that the needs of existing neighbourhoods aren’t overlooked.
Growth should strengthen our community - not leave residents feeling like they’re constantly trying to catch up with it.
SUPPORTING FAMILIES

More opportunities for children, teens and families through parks, recreation and welcoming community spaces.
Families need places where children and teens can play, learn, connect and simply spend time together. As Bradford West Gwillimbury grows I want to see us continue investing in parks, recreation and community spaces that give residents opportunities to get involved and feel connected.
That includes supporting activities for children and teens, making the most of the parks and facilities we already have and looking for opportunities to expand recreation and community programming as our community grows.
I also believe community spaces should be welcoming and accessible to people of all ages. Whether it’s a park, recreation program, community event or gathering space, these are the places where connections are built and communities become more than just a collection of neighbourhoods.
Growing a strong community means creating places and opportunities for people to connect, participate and belong.
LOCAL BUSINESS & ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT
A strong local economy that supports small businesses, local jobs and responsible commercial and industrial development.
Local businesses are an important part of what makes Bradford West Gwillimbury a thriving community. They provide jobs, contribute to our local economy and help create the places and services residents rely on every day.
I want to support an environment where local businesses can start, grow and succeed while also encouraging opportunities for new businesses and employment to come to BWG.
As our community grows, responsible commercial and industrial development can help create jobs, broaden our economic base and provide opportunities closer to home. That growth needs to be thoughtfully planned alongside the infrastructure, transportation and services required to support it.

A strong local economy means creating opportunities for businesses and residents while building a community where people can live, work and invest locally.
TRANSPARENCY & COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT

Clear communication about municipal decisions, spending and major projects with meaningful opportunities for residents to have their say.
Residents deserve to understand what decisions are being made at Town Hall, why they are being made and how they may affect our community. That means clear, accessible communication about municipal spending, major projects and decisions that impact residents.
I also believe community engagement should be more than simply sharing information after a decision has been made. Residents should have meaningful opportunities to ask questions, share their perspectives and understand how their feedback is being considered. As a councillor, I will strive to be approachable, communicate openly and make sure residents know how to reach me when they have a concern or want to better understand an issue.
Good local government starts with listening, communicating clearly and being accountable to the people we represent.
LISTEN. LEAD. DELIVER.

Listening to residents, leading with integrity and following through.
I don’t think leadership is about having all the answers. I think it’s about being willing to listen, learn and do the work.
That means hearing from residents about what’s happening in their neighbourhoods, understanding different perspectives and bringing those conversations to the Council table.
It means being honest and transparent, even when the answer isn’t the one we hoped for. And it means following through because when someone takes the time to share a concern or an idea, they deserve to know what happened next.
I want Ward 6 residents to know that I’ll show up, listen and keep working.
